Dinning Room In Progress

This spacious room has a great look.

The chairs she reupholstered to match her China Design is a nice touch.

Things that I would add though to be honest she has better taste than me. Also she has other things to consider such a dogs and allergies and other things that she must consider when decorating.

--- I would add a rug because rugs add a type warmth to a room that has nothing to do with temperature or the thermostat. They make a room more welcoming. Honest, I don't say that just because I sell rugs.

--- I would add a planter on a pedestal in the corner with plant. An alternative would some type of statue although I would tend to go with the plant. An additional alternative for people who drink is a decorative corner style wine rack. Yet another alternative is a decorative serving cart that wouldn't be used as a serving cart but for decoration. But again, I would tend to just go with the plant. It is safe. When I get too inventful it almost never works the way I think it might. (I got in a total mess yesterday at the store just trying to arrange showcases ;))

--- I tend to leave the walls kind of on the bare side for my own peculiar reasons. But again, wall decorations add a warmth to a house and make a house feel more like my home. My mother was great at wall decorations with the lava bowls, other ceramic hangings, pictures. During spring cleaning and redoing getting those walls right was a ritual.

Can't realy get a full scope of the room from the picture but one thing a lot of our customers do is to set up a wall shelf on the higer part of the ceiling to display something they collect. Some customers, rather than going with the typica shelfl, go with small shelves (3 item or smaller shelves) they stagger in different areas. Cookie Jars. Shakers. Bells. Whatever gives the to have an appetite to go out to the stores and hunt, excuse me, shop.

My sister redid the seat of the chair to match her dishes.

Fabric she used.
